This morning I had a little run in with a friend, which owns a late 60's Charger, we running down a road side by side, I know bad idea, but I had him right until 95-98 mph and then the stupid puter took over and I was left behind. ?:E:.
Is there something inexpensive that can change the top speed cut out??
I don't normally do stuff like this, but I did want to find out what the Ava. ?would do. ?Kind of disappointing. ? (n)

Programer for this but when and where are you going to run that fast always?

BTW  :welcome: to the club.

Sam

i got a diablosport program and i opened the speed limit ,last month i ran up to 117 and the truck was like it wants to go more and more , go for a handheld programmer regardless the brand name

Moroso Motorsport Race Track  at West Palm Beach, im staying away of highway officers, beside that i am a tractor trailer driver , fuel tankers that only go up to 65 mph.

Thanks all.   I know, it was the teenager coming back out of me.
    I'm 39 by the way.
I know at that speed on the highway, things happen all too fast.

First,  :welcome: Bluesnow!

Second, as stated earlier, there are many threads regarding programmers for your Av, but they can all cut out the limiter, which is set @ 97mph, BTW. If it helps, the DiabloSport Predator is popular if you're going for more simplistic tunes, and HP Tuners are more for the experienced programmers. I use a Predator, myself.

Hope this helps,

Brad

I almost get the feeling that? :welcome: may be a short lived greeting. I'd really like to get to know ya a
good long while before saying goodbye.
It's nearly disheartning.? :welcome: anyways!

I don't normally do stuff like this
I'd implore you to avoid the situation if at all possible!
You might substitute the side by side road racing with..............Swallowing Gasoline while chain smoking
, playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded handgun, Flying a Plane knowingly low on fuel towards the Swiss? Alps, or inviting a old Girlfriend over to the house for a little R&R while the better half is home preparing for her Baby Shower.

I'd relish the fact that your nearly 6000 lb stock truck ran along side a performance built automobile weighing in at nearly a ton less on the scales and at those speeds. Toss on top of that you didn't have a blow-out, kill or maim any innocent bystanders or get caught. I wouldn't beat myself up too badly.? Its sounds like you had a pretty darn good day. Dying from a ripe old age can be circumvented on days like you've had today.? I'd count my blessing's suicides a sin.? I wouldn't be to disappointed my AVing friend!

Superchips Maxx programmer here by the way.................

I was just attempting to put a touch of reality to the importance of avoiding the situation at all cost if one cherishes their well being. Shame on you for laughing!? :beating:? ?>:D

I know but that one line is so gut busting funny i could not help it!

Thanks all, As I said before, this not something I normally do. And as I grow older, I'm also getting wiser. In the heat of the moment it's easy to get caught up in this type of thing.

Steuben county. ? See alot of Avay's around here, but so far not to many 07's/08's.

I have only seen 1 so far in Central NY.
Don't feel bad about your question . I actaully had a thread entiltled "Woohoo opened him up". I was told by my mechanic of a good quiet country road with no houses to do it on, I just wanted to see what type of power it had. I'm 38 and I will say it felt pretty darn good? (y)
