Hi everyone I need some help please. So I own a 2002 Z71 1500 Avalanche. It broke down and I needed it towed. My truck weighs 7,000lbs. The tow truck driver shows up at my house with my truck but instead of having it on a flat bed he was towing it with the front two tires on the ground & the back two tires up. I freaked he said it'll be fine, well it's ffn not. I had just redone the entire front end. New axles everything like 6 months prior shocks you name it. It was driving fine. Now the I can't even turn the ffn thing going slow or fast. I can hear and feel it having horrible resistance and all around scary bad when I try to turn it right or left and in reverse all coming from the front end. The guy that towed it is the owner of the place. Told me he had to work cuz his tow driver called out or something.I told him he messed up my truck and these church ppl that recommended him. But they all refuse to answer me & ignore me. Towing my truck the way he did was ABSOLUTELY WRONG RIGHT?!? All my life I've always known to tow a 4x4 on a daily bed and anything over a certain weight. Please can someone tell me. Can I take him to court? What can I do & it seems everyone here in Maine thinks it's totally ffn fine but everyone I know back home in California freaked when they heard what he did. I'm a single mom who I know if I had a man they'd listen to him but they think women that know about cars are stupid. I've been scammed and tried to take advantage of so much since I've moved here. Even when I prove I know what I'm talking about they still try to get by on me and then when I call them out on it they act like I'm crazy or completely ignore me.

You can tow like this but the transmission in park and the transfer case needs to be switched into neutral, on the 4wd switch panel.
Check with your insurance company if a claim could be made against him. If you called for tow through AAA report the incident to them.
You really need to get it fixed soon, obviously for safety. But get a detailed inspection of the damage, wheel alignment too. Consult another towing company on proper procedure, like maybe his competition would probably be Happy to help. If he refuses to cover the repairs, you may be going to small claims court.
If all this fails and you are "100% certain" he is negligent you could report to a Better Business Bureau, he may have multiple complaints against him already.
Turn to social media, Facebok, or leave a "Google review" on his company. Doubt this will help get your money back tho.
100% certain or you are guilty of Slander
good luck

read owner's manual and see what it says.

First, take it to a shop you trust!!! Explain the situation and what happened before and after. Ask them to verify that the damage was caused by improper towing. A good shop may not even charge you for this service if you plan on having the repairs performed there. While they are looking at it contact your insurance and let them know as well. From there File a report with the BBB, and AAA. Post a review on Yelp, google, Angie, and others. Contact your local news about the incident even better if you can provide correspondence from the tow company refusing to accept the damages or proof from the mechanic that states the damage was caused by improper towing. I hate to say this but it's a sad fact, but many tow companies refuse to listen to young people and women because they refuse to accept that they do not know how to handle someone else knowing more than they when it come to towing something. I have had to fight with tow companies in the past over towing a number of different vehicles and all acted like they knew more than I did. Cost one 15k in damages.
