Hello, I'm new to the forum. This is about the 5th time I've signed up, so I figure I better start a topic before my account perishes once again.

The transmission-side slip yoke on my Avalanche broke at one of the "ears" to the U joint. I have an 03 Avalanche 1500 5.3l RWD, it's not an awd vehicle. I've been researching slip yokes. I identified my original as the 2-3-12051x Dana Spicer. But I've also learned that a nickel plated Slip Yoke would take care of all the "clunking" I've experienced trying to shift into Drive or Reverse.

The best match Nickel Slip Yoke would be the 2-3-01433x. Am I correct with my findings? The measurements are very close.
I've tried searching the forums but most of the info seems to pertain to AWD options. This is my first truck, so a lot of this is new to me. I am also a mechanic, but I've mostly worked on cars and such.
Here are some links I'm basing my info on:

Under the "description" tab, it lists the (old) nickel slip yoke part number

Here is the nickel Slip Yoke. The description here is interesting.
