Upgrade to Remote Key System

Hi All, Took 2007 Avalanche LTZ into Service for oxygen sensor going bad, was informed of recall on remote key entry, they didn't inform me on reason, they just said that system needed to be upgraded, had to get wife's key to service department so they could complete fix , so a reminder for all, if you go in for this take all your keys, it saves a little time..

Is that only on the LTZ's.  Guess I'll call the dealer.

It's on all models. It's part of the battery run down and E85 update.  If you have this done and don't have both keys it's easy to do yourself. Once you have both keys you have to select Relearn Keys from the DIC, and hold down both lock and unlock on the key fob. You have to do both at the same time.

FYI,
Just took my 07 LT in today and had two recalls.  One was on the remote reprogram which if not fixed will run down the battery and the other was an Engine Control Module.  Make sure that they check the tire pressure sensors that will need adjustment after the recalls are completed.  My dealer did check them when finished.
Takes about 1 hr that I had to wait.
