OK more of a heads up I guess to all 4Wheelers!

My AV is at A1 economy Transmissions.
It was hesitating and on the highway it was hunting for gears.

So time to build it up (as beefey as the L60 can get)

well stopped by to see how they were doing with it last night.
And I was asked if I had ever been in water.
The tyranny had a considerable amount of water in it.
So on the buildup One of the things is to extend the Vent up much higher.
We are also going to chk the Transfer case.

I believe this water is from the 8mile trek last year at Paragon on the Flooded trails
The trip was 18 miles? 8 of which was under water.

Didn't you listen to the song?
It's supposed to be a YELLOW submarine. :2:

Or were the flames just getting too hot? >:D

On a more serious not, I hope that doesn't add too much to the cost of the upgrade.

Is there still a chance you'll have the AV back for Saturday?

TB on Sat.
AV will be done Early next week.

Yea they said my 2nd gear was in bad shape
and the water was not doing the cluck any good.

So, you'll be in the TB, Willy Orca will be in a Tahoe, Wazbro will be late so he'll be in his pickup.

Hmm, won't look much like an Avalanche GTG this Saturday. ???
At least they're all Chevys. :B:

I was not the only one on that trip.
MrGreen Set the trip up.

1st thing I did yesterday was to call him and let him know my issue of water.

Well, just go easy on the trans when you get it back, let it break in for a good 1,000 miles just to be safe before you start ragging on it... Do you have an AUX cooler, if not add one! ;)

Yea we are talking about a AUX cooler (one with its own Fan) just need to find a place to stick it. I am thinking between the bumper and Frame rail under the Radiator and intercooler.

I am getting the L60 as built as I can with out Cryo-treating any parts.

I used to get water in everything with the ATV at Paragon and the vent tubes are all up high in the handlebar center  :D

I would mount it up high in front of the Radiator were it will get plenty of air, then you wont need a fan on it... Plus, if you have a fan on it you will need to wire up an off switch to kill the fan for those water crossings... Electric fans don't like being submerged...

As for the transmission... Don't skimp on the trans! Get every upgrade for it so you only have to do it once... Remember that a simple cryo treated $100 upgrade part could save your $2,000+ transmission in the long run!!!!  ;)

The shop I was reared to was by Local Speed shop owner he had all his NHRA trans work done by this Shop.
The shop owner Real Nice Guy. has a Friend that is into Rock Crawling Buggies.

So I have to trust I am getting what I am paying for. (lack of a better term a bombproof L60)

Besides I believe the next thing to go will be the G80 Locker.

Got it back> shifts feel great so far. (it was a trencher down pour when i picked up the Ride).
OK here is the invoice list (shop like Kennedy parts) L60

Thanks A-1 Economy Transmission.

But He did pick up on a few things. :p
I am getting a Clunk in the transfer case. (he seems that will fail next not the rear)
and on the super charger my belt alignment is off and causing a chirpping when cold.

Just dropped the Ride off at the Tranny shop Again! :E:
I apparently have a Blown Radiator Core. That could be where the water was from in the 1st place.

I am not happy right now. But am on mt 2nd sprite and vodka.
and am going to NASCAR @ Pocono this weekend in the Jeffy mobile.

OH SNAP!!!!

Although you don't know for sure if the fluid came from your offroad excursion or the radiator, it's a costly repair.  The tranny doesn't need to be dunked to take in water.  It can also be sucked in through the seals.  If you have actually been in that deep of water, you better check the differentials.  There's a better chance of getting in there.

try these
