Has anyone out there used water less cleaners/protectants (Dry Wash and Guard) on their painted surfaces? I have a friend who swears by the stuff and am looking for some other opinions.

i used it once awhile back. was not impressed with it. it seemed to scratch as i used it on the paint surface. although it covered the scratches as i used the product. it was like a soap and wax all in one. did not care for it. just another lazy way to wash your vehicle. i would rather just do it the old fashion way with water.

I know some who use Dri wash and guard....they like it.....but I prefer the old fashioned hand wash....less chance of scratching and swirls..

now if you live in water restriction area...then it may be an option...

Also...you still should wax afterwards.....

PS there are some older threads in this section on dri wash n guard....go back a few pages in this section

Good luck...

Gixer,

First of all welcome to the club, I tried the waterless car wash product on my Suburban a few years ago, and I was not impressed...Like mentioned earlier, I could see the swirls develop all over the place...I ended up washing my vehicle the old school way, with alot of elbow grease ;D Just my 2 cents

I had a friend at work who sponsored one of these waterless car cleaners. His 4Runner was spotless all the time and he offered to do my car at the time for 25 bucks. It looked nice but it only lasted a few weeks. He then tried to sell me the products but I decided against it. With my AV I only use Zaino and it shines better this his SUV. Sorry but I don't remember the name of the product he used.
