I noticed in the South Dakota Vacation Guide they sent me that another group of Chevy owners will be in Spearfish, about 45 miles from Rapid City.

The National Impala club boasts 2600 members world wide covering only the years 1958 to 1970.  The photo on their website shows a bunch of cars lined up at a previous GTG.  I count 75 cars but I am betting there is about 100 total, many in the back I can't clearly see.

The point of this post?  They have about 10% the membership and it looks like they could double our attendance.  :E:  :E:  :E:

We need to sign up more AV's.

The sad part is, if you look at their Convention page for their less than exciting website, with no forum at all, it shows a rather boring list of events for their week long GTG.  We have plenty of funs daytrips planned and far better people to hang out with.  What are you waiting for?  ???

:needhug:

Come on everyone we need to beat these guys. Also since they are Chevy guys maybe we should have a GTG with them.. Just a thought..

27th Annual National Impala Association Convention - the tentative schedule includes a band called, 'Generations of Rock ?n Roll' for 4 hours at a dance on Wednesday evening

That doesn't sound boring to me, maybe we could show up and assist them if they drop thier walkers or fall out of thier wheel chairs  >:D  Founded in 1980 for 1958-1970 Chevy Impalas, they deserve alot of credit for keeping those old cars alive and well. I wonder how many trailer thier rides there ? They might even tow them with an Avalanche and already be club members here or want to join.  :B:

It could be fun to go and look at all the nice rides.  :B:

I'll shoot a bunch of car photos if I get over to Spearfish. We're a newby club compared to them, no doubt some of those classic car lovers would like looking at our trucks too.  :B:

I'm a member of both clubs but I haven't went to any of their meets yet. I mainly joined for the resourses that they have at their disposal. I have learned alot of good info but it is pricey being in their club.
