Finally saw some amber's in this city known as Nashville today. Around 9:00 on Donelly Pike just south of Murfreesboro Pike......who was it? I'm not sure on color or mods since it was dark and all, plus I only caught the amber's at the last second.

What do you find wrong with Nashville? I have been there many times and except for all of the interstate constuction I found it to be a great city! I am going back in May... :B:

Okay, I'll admit that I was too quick to judge. I finally had some time today to explore and check Nashville out and it's much nicer than it had seemed prior to getting around in the daylight. Since I'm here on business I hadn't had much time prior to today to scope the area out.

There are some rough areas, just like any "small big city" I suppose but now that I've seen some of downtown I'll definitely make it back over here when the opportunity arises.

It's kind of a bummer that I'm on my 13th day of a 14 day trip before I found the parts that I like but at least now I know where to go when I come over here again.

More exploration required........but it now seeems much nicer than it had before I gave it a fair chance.

PS: This city does need to do something about the prostitution problem. There simply are not enough of them! ;D

Joe, baby, once again you just aren't going to the right part of town. You have to go a little Northeast of downtown to find them. Say, around Dickerson Road.

Joe, you just got to give NasVegas a chance, man!!  We moved here from TX with EVERY intention of returning as soon as my wife finished grad school. Needless to say, she graduated 11 years ago!!  We love the place. Sorry I didn't have time to GTG while you were in town.

LMAO Butch,

As it stands right now, I am not doing too much with GTGs due to lack of funds. We will try to make MCM, but other than that, I am on a wait until I get called back to Peterbilt mode, before I do anything else. Safer that way.

We hope to see you at MCM, last year at Huntsville it was our granddaughter graduation high school. This year we have a grandson graduation about that time. We don't know the schedule for the graduation, parties and anything else that they are planning but should know soon. Do you know when you will get back to work? Hope things work out for you guys!

Hopefully, they will be calling back in August or September. That is what we were hearing when they laid us off. We are then supposed to be at work for close to 2 1/2 years before we risk another lay off. By that time, I should be vested and in much less danger of losing seniority. We do have a contract negotiation coming next year, but with it coming in a forecasted record sales year, we believe we will be in a good position and won't be locked out like last time.

We will try to make MGM, but I am taking a job with a 4 10 schedule, Wed - Sat, so that may not be a possibility. We will see as we get closer. Call when you guys get down though. I'll try to work something out.

I dont see any of the locals on line.  You might wanna just create a new thread for your trip there.  That way when they sign on, it will show up as new posts.  Also, some members have notifications made to them when a new thread is created in a certain section.  Just a thought.  If you can manage to meet up with TrAV you wont regret it. (A great guy he is)

Wednesday through Friday of this week or next week?  I am in Texas this week and Hawaii next week and, sorry to say, won't be able to meet up with you.  Start a new thread in the Tennessee section or go to TennesseeAvalanches.com and start a thread there.  I am sure members will greet you while your in Nashville.
