Update:

Just talked to the dealer... AV is ready to go. (y) It was a bad fuel pump.

Woulda never guessed :)

Oh No! Not pics of the ride on the flat bed tow truck! Glad she's ready to be picked up! Have a safe drive home with your AV!

It was nice meeting you guys at the breakfast and we are so sorry you had problems on the way home.  Glad you are soon to be in your AV again.

Pat and Julie

Going to leave work early today and go pick up the AV.  Nicole is tired of getting up at 5:30 in the morning and taking me into work.  :D

Sorry to hear about problem with the fuel pump.? It sounds like that extended warranty is paying for itself.? Which is good and bad; good that you have it, bad you have to utilize it.

I'm glad you'll be getting the Av back today after agreeing wink, wink to wait until today.

Good luck on the trip back to pick it up!

-Joe

3.5 hours up...

15 minutes at the dealer... 15 minutes to gas up the wife's car and grab a few snacks for the road back...

& 3.5 hours home.

Having the AV back home in the driveway...

PRICELESS!!!  (y)

Well we talked about stopping for dinner in Cheyenne... but after snacking most of the way we decided to push on through and get back home.

I just had the fuel pump replaced on my '03 about a month ago at 63k miles... she just sputtered and died 3 miles from home.  Hated to see it being towed...  I have spent 100's or 1000's on extended warranties in the past and never had prob's and when I did "oh thats not covered".  This time I didn't buy the warranty...  :E:  1k later I'm back on the road with fresh pump, filter and tow bill.

Glad you're rollin' again.  Must be something with 60k and above pumps going out

Damn!  63k... that's where mine went out.

Luckily we had the basic AAA coverage and that got us to the dealer in Douglas, WY.  Very friendly folks at Douglas Motors btw!  I had to pay the $100 deductible plus about $75 for the new fuel filter & labor to replace the one I had just replaced in June.  It would have been $750 without the warranty.  I figure it's paid for itself since then.  I haven't read the fine print but I was told that my warranty doubled the manufacturer's 3 year or 36k mile warranty.  So I have 2 years or 9k miles left.

Glad to hear she finally made it home.  Makes for a memorable trip! (Like it wasn't already)  I also hate to see pics of Av's on tow trucks.
