What Did You Pay For A Pre-order 2003?

Hello all!
I'm curious to know what people paid for the 2003 model Avalanches for those that prepaid them. I would hope that one could still get a good deal and/or the financing on them while those incentives still apply. Could those who preordered state what they paid? If you received any discounts, etc. and whether rebates, financing, and/or other allowances that are currently available were applicable to your purchase. Thanks in advance!

I have paid nothing . The dealer ordered my 2003 and the agreement was $500 over invoice. I calculate the final cost to be about $36,600 out the door. I hope we don't have to do battle over advertising or other dealer fees because that was not the agreement.

See my trailer for what I ordered. ;D

You're not going to get any special financing or incentives on the 2003s. If you want any of the rebates going on now, you need to buy a 2002. They need to move last year's model off the lots... not this year's. :)

I was looking back in April/May but couldn't find a 2002 with the configuration I wanted and everything coming off the line had already been allocated... no more custom orders for 2002s. I did the same thing as gstreak and ordered a 2003 instead. Whatever invoice turns out to be, plus about $500 or so. All I put down was a $500 down payment.

The pricing sounds good. Are any of you going to get delivery of your vehicles before September 3rd? I understand that GM is supposed to honor their special financing rates until that time, although I imagine that they probably excluded the 2003 models in the fine print. :-[

True. The 2003's are excluded from the Summerdrive program.

Ordered my on/ around July 12. No deposit needed and $100 over invoice. I'm expecting no rebates  ...but maybe GM will want to kick start the 03's. I would like to think maybe a $1000 back? Oh well....priced mine out and it should be around $36,700. Getting everything except the North Face, XM radio, DVD (going with the "convertiable A/V" sunroof), and 4.10... So who is going to be the first one???????? PICs!!!

Was going to order a AV today but found out that summer drive was only for 2002's. Does any one know if GM is going to extend it to the 2003's? ??? On the other hand I saw a new chevy pickup with the new blue and it looks good. It's like the old 1986 IROC BLUE.

Look at it this way.

You can buy a 2002 AV for PriceX
Minus Rebates
truck will be worth 2002 AV used rates

or

You can buy a 2003 AV for roughly same price
No Rebates
truck will be worth 2003 AV used rates

Both of them depreciate as soon as you drive 'em off the lot. Only difference is that the 2002 has a year's head start. Question is, how much more is a used truck worth that is 1 year newer and how does that compare to the rebate and small price difference? *shrug*

I ordered mine on June 15th. No deposit, and $100 UNDER invoice. Not sure if I want it anymore. Like the new blue or yellow looks bad ass!
