First, thank you to each of you who have responded in the past to my other posts, I really do appreciate the help.

I've had 2 different dealers tell me 2 opposite explainations about what 1SN "Premium On-Road Package" really does. I figure you guys actually knows since I'm sure some of you have it.

So, does it soften the On-road ride, or firm it up / let you feel the road?

Would I notice any difference?

Thanks again in advance,
Mike

Hi Mike, Premium onroad is 2wd. You get Bilstein front shocks and Sach's loadlevelers in the rear. Traction control with the Eaton G80 locker. The ride is more firm but not harsh. I really like the handling of my Z-66 compared to the Z-71's I have driven. I like a firm ride. Matt

Great answer, thanks. So if you want a softer ride, then the standard package is for you, and if you want a firmer ride it's the 1sn / Z66 package?

Thanks again for all the help,
Mike

I really like the ride of my Z66 as well..........

I honestly hated trucks for years because of their handling and ride quality. However, I needed something large enough for myself, wife, kids, and audio gear with a really large trunk for trips and vacations, so the Av just fit my needs. I got the Z66 in attempt to make driving a truck "not so bad" and I'm honestly impressed by the way the 6500lb behemoth handles! It's firm and decreases body roll quite a bit, get it if handling is a priority.

I like the ride of my Z66 also. It has a quieter and smoother ride than the Cadillac I owned a few years ago. Barely any road noise. I like the load leveling feature as my AV is alway loaded down with equipment or a trailer 80% of its life.

Just because it is a on-road package does not mean it cannot go off the asphalt. I have proof.

I can't believe this has gone on this long without mention of the most important item of the package - a really cool sticker on the rear of the bed sides that says Z66 ;) So cool, in fact, that mine didn't even remain on the truck long enough for the papers to be prepared ;)
