I got a black spare and I noticed that AvaLance has a silver one does anyone know why there are different one's? ? ?

hehe we sure do, and like you pointed out you have the black wheel with rear tinted windows and I have the silver wheel without rear tinted windows (but I now have tinted)

SKIDD I got a cheap *** camera I didn't photoshop it, it sucks in the sunlight on my white. ?My AV is clean but I didn't clean the spare.

LOL... sorry about that, I thought you PS'd it to make it look clean... BTW can you resize the images so they don't alter the page width. ?:cautious:

I got the black one too, know that my Av came as a non-Z71 4x4. Maybe it's a build date thing, I have 6/02 build date. The spare came with a FS Wilderness LE mounted, same tire as on the 4 wheels as delvidered.

Now it has Z71 rims in all five spots, with the same MT/Rs all around too. (anyone wanna buy 4 16" rims and one black spare 16" rim, all with new tires?)
 
That is kind of strange. You both have a Z71 White Avalanche. You both got a flat on the same tire.

Kind of strange in my opinion.

I think my '03 spare is black w/ Bridgestone Dueller tire. Seems standard for the '03's? Seems there was more variation in the '02's (firestone, goodyear, etc.)
 
SPEAKING OF THE SPARE TIRE , I WAS INSTALLING SOME REAR FACING LIGHTS ON MY AV YESYERDAY TO HELP ME SEE BETTER WHEN I AM BACKING UP AND I NEEDED SOME MORE ROOM TO DRILL THE HOLES STRAIGHT , TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT , I COULDN'T GET THE SPARE TO DROP.
I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS OR AT LEAST I THOUGHT I DID. :E:
SO WHICH END GOES IN FIRST, THE SQUARE END OR THE FLAT END ???

P.S. I did get the lights installed and I am amazed at the difference they make.
can't wait to do my next mod.

I checked mine last night, and it's a 16" black steel wheel with a P265/75 tire on it. My '04 has the 17" wheels with P265/70's. What a rip-off. Owners manual tells me to 'try not to use 4 wheel drive when using spare'. Anyone install the 'correct' size tire/wheel combo yet? I'm thinking the 75 aspect ratio of the 16" doesn't make up for the 1" diameter larger 70 series..............

The OD is within a .1" of 17" z66/z71 tires..................
