I have a 06 Avalanche with a Bose sound system; I understand there were 2 different editions available. I don't know which system I have.
When I got the truck from a greasy, slick, dishonest used car lot. I was pretty ignorant of what I was SUPPOSED to be getting.
I paid no attention to the radio as I was more interested in whether or not the 4 X 4 worked. Anyway, I digress.
The truck has an aftermarket Pioneer in it. Who ever installed it used scotch locks instead of buying a kit of $15.00 they spent a day with those scotch locks, I know it was a good part of a day because i did it when there were no "KITS".
The speaker grills on the doors all sat "BOSE:" on them. I have read there is something in the console a woofer maybe? maybe an amp?
Anyway I was cleaning the winter out of the cab yesterday and found that the useless cup holder (the cups receivers are so large EVERY cup I ever put in there spilled either onto the console lid or the carpet) comes out with a little prying, I looked down in the hole and there's nothing to describe, forward there is something, I can't say it's amp, or a speaker enclosure. When running a search on the internet asking what components were included in my 2006 edition I get results for everything but what makes up the system, what I can expect to find in a compromised system.
I was hoping some one here might be able to help me out... What should I see and where should I see it please?
