What's the A shaped corner piece for?

Another newbie question: Waht are the "A" shaped pieces for that are in the back corners of the bed, picture attached?

When you stick your foot in the bumper step... grab there to pull yourself up... works great for us old guys!

If you have a WBH... not quite as useful... I've used for tiedowns though

It's the attachment point for a TXavy custom bed rack

Oh, It's every bit as useful for us old WBH guys, even without the nifty step bumper. Maybe more so - it's a taller gap...

I agree with Murdog. I was always looking for something to grab when hoisting my fat axx up into the bed of my Silverado. This is one of the many nice little features for big creatures that I love about my AV.
