Wheels for a 2500

Has anyone installed the H2 wheels on a 2500 Avalanche? The stock H2 tires are a bit big as i found out after purchasing a set on eBay. I re-eBayed them and am now considering buying juts the wheels and installing another size tire. has anyone done this without modifications to the truck? ( IE Lift kit, sawzall to the fender or hammer to the firewall/ floorboard)..... And while I'm at it, how the heck do you remove the wheels on the rear axle?
