Where is the horn!!!

On the '03 it is down under the OEM air filter box (passenger's side) once you remove it or go up from underneath you will see it.

Under the AirBox. (y)

Easier to get at if you crawl on the ground underneath the front on passenger side.

what everyone above said............................

Ummm, If I'n not mistaken, aren't there 2? One on each side?
My horns had to be replaced, so I went with the air-horns. I used to different sets of air-horns, just to make it nice and loud.
The loudest non-comercial air-horns I've ever heard are on CIAJNIK's Av. they're unbelievable.

We have Air-horns on our Ambulance and they are louder than any of our towns Fire trucks. I bet if we went up to a store front window, we'd blow it out cause it's so darn powerful and loud. People get so scared when they hear us coming, they either stop dead in the street or pull over.
I think the ones that stop dead in the street are from the engine getting scared of the horn and siezing up on them? LOL. J/K

Easy way to find it is to stick you head under the hood and have your significant other lean on the horn button for a few seconds. ;)

Unless of course the reason you want to find it is because it's not working. :(

Everyone is correct about the horn being on the front right side under the air box - also there is one under the front left side - yes boys and girls there are 2 horns. They are different notes a believe to give that great sound! My R/H horn went bad about 3 days after I had my AV - I didnt notice until Edward K said HEY DUDE one of your horns is out - I got one and replaced it - didnt know I was missing one til it was on and I hit the horn pad - wow a lot louder - THANKS Edward K.
The only thing he could have done better was change it for me.

??? "That great sound" Mmmm must be a big difference between the Canadian and US models 'cos my horn sure doesn't fit the mean image of the truck. I'll be changing over to a truck style air horn as soon as I can. ;)

I guess my humor is so bad that when I joke people dont get any of them - the horn is weak at best - I believe a good air horn as some have installed is a sound more fitting.
Dang Skidd you never like any of my jokes! ;) :) :D :cautious:

To add to the discussion - for those who 4x4 and go through water - it is easy to loosen the passenger side horn and rotate it up, so you can be deeper in the water - however it will allow water from above to run into it - what is a guy to do :)

LOL... mate, it ain't that I don't like them! It's just I don't GET them.

For us slow people from WAY down South you need to make it more obvious... maybe add an emoticon or two. Like this...

" They are different notes I believe to give that great sound! ;) "

Then even I might get the joke... although there are no guarentees. :p

I can assure you kind sir, that I would never presume to pass judgement on the joke making ability of a contributor as knoble as yourself. I can only assume that my lack of understanding your fine humerous puns and quips is as a result of my poor colonial upbringing or that my heavy accent is hindering my ability to hear you correctly. >:D :-*

To *TRY* and keep this thread on topic, the horn on my wife's Suburban is shocking as well... you'd figure GM would really want there vehicles to sound impressive... but alas, no. :6:
