I have been getting them from PEP Boys. Purolator #15313 (I think that is the #) They can be difficult to find. I have the 8.1 and am not sure if the 5.3 uses the same filter. I just picked up the only (2) they had last week.

I was chatting with a buddy who's good friend test oil and oil filters. He was telling me that Fram was one of the worst filters you could buy....He said there were a ton of others on the market that are great. Mobil1 is the best was the concensus.

More news 02 I do about 4 oil and filter changes a week for neighbors and friends and recomend NOT using fram as I cut open filters (recycle the steel and oil) and have found several frams where the filter media (paper) ends were not attached and paper is much thinner than Napa gold,Mobil-1 or AC even motorcraft are better than fram

thanx. i will definitely change it to the Mobil1 now. i did not realize it was so crappy. the worst part about the whole Fram situation is i have used all three of their filters. thinking i was getting a better filter when i bought the TG or DG. guess i was wrong. thanx again!
