One-thousand - I can hardly believe it. ?One-thousand registered members is around the corner. ?Had I not killed the board last week we would probably be there now.

I'd guess we are three to five days away from number 1,000. ?Who is going to be? ?What is Chief going to do to honor number 1,000? ?What words of wisdom will they have to share?

Stay tuned - 1,000 members in less than 5 months around the corner...

Congrats, Chief...way to go. One of the big successes of this site/club (national!!!) are the members. Lots of great folks out there. Great site, too... Glad I'm here with y'all...
 
I remember the welcome I got for being No 100. Wow! I said, 100 fellow AV's on the internet. Somehow I feal older. 1,000 AV's in 5 months, Can't wait for 1 Year. Say Chief when is the offical 1 year date. Should we thinking about doing something?
 
I will donate a set of new Purple Glowing Fuzzy Dice to # 1000 ;D
 
I to am amazed by the additions,,I find that I am checking the total registered users every time I log on now. Congratulations to the Chief for a great site.

I registered the URL on January 10th and flipped the switch on the website on January 15th - although I think a couple of folks stumbled in before the 15th...
 
Are we each assigned a member number?

If so where can I find it.

I'm curious where I am located among the first 1000.

I'm also still wondering if I was the first member "recruited" with a flyer.
 
OK, I knew someone would steal my idea to be #1000. Guess it wasn't very original. I've been lurking around just about every day since January (I think there were about 10 or 20 registered members then...I linked to site from Chief's invite @ Edmunds.com).

Problem is, I DON'T HAVE AN AV YET! :(

I know that I'm welcome to register, but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I were #1000 and don't even have my av yet. Hope to join the ranks soon...just need to drive my '95 S10 a little longer and make a few more payments on the wife's Passat. Oh, yeah, and convince her that we NEED an av.

Great site, Chief. Great information, entertainment, and humor, Members.

I have been watching the user count and it has really taken on in the last few days.

Congrats to everyone for promoting the site and Chief for all of the hard work to make all of this possible...

We will hit 1000 real soon if this pace keeps up - I think we added around 20 people yesterday.
 
Good question GoldBowTie . . . how can we figure out our membership 'number'.

Used to be that the members section was ordered by join date - with the Chief first. When there weren't too many members, counting by pages of 25 wasn't too hard.

Now with more folks and the members section alphabetic, I'm not sure how to do it!

Rich, just join, get a good name while they are still available, nobody said you have to own an AV to contribute and participate, keep in mind that spork posted at least 250 times before he got one.

Only 17 left to go at the time of this posting! Looks like this weekend will do the trick if not sometime today! Congratulations and thank you Chief for starting this club and to all the others involved whose hard work and time maintain it and keep it moving smoothly! ?:B:
 
It appears that this week is going to be like Christmas! ;D

The club will have 1,000 plus members, will turn 5 months old and with only 27 raffle tickets left I have a feeling I'll be doing the drawing this week to pick the winner on that too! :eek: All of this after the busiest seven days in club website history.

God I love you guys! :love:
 
Wow ... If the ten guests that are on right now registered we would be at 1000!

hey Chief I think that the 1,000 member should get the following.

1. free membership to the club
2. the dice from GOO
3. free surfing of all the great info on this site
4. free looks at all the great mods we all have done ?
? ?to the best truck in the world
5. and last ( if he owns a AVA) the feel of a NEW found
? ?family that he can meet all across the great USA
? ?to talk to when he or she needs to talk and to get
? ?together when ever he or she can and just have a
? ?great time......

I am sorry all the above ( not number 2) he or she gets anyway.

But I remember that it is CHIEF we all have to thank.

I do not know if I ever thanked chief for the great site.

Because sportsfam is "technically" our 1,000 member - but braveheartlaw is REALLY our 1,000 member I have decided to recognize both of them.

IM me on the details on what I'm doing for both of them...

OK, I took the plunge and am proud to be CAFNA member #1005. Thanks for the encouragement, gandolphxx. I feel like I already know everyone, especially all who joined very early on. Hello to all.

Maybe I will let them decide who will really use them. ?Wouldn't want them babies to go to waste ?;D

I would have to come up with a prize for the other one ... hmm :cautious:
 
Guys , if I'm member 1000 ( or 1 of them ) then it's by chance but it sure feels good. ;D
I'm sooooooooo happy I ditched my Mitsubishi.
Looking to the weekend when My wife gets her part of the deal, Arabian horse ???. oh yeh and I get to go tow it back across the state of GA !
