I was drinving home today with front windows down and rear windows half down, I looked in the drivers side view mirror and realized the drivers side rear window (back door) was moving left to right about 1/2" each way!!!!! Anyone else see this and is this a problem I should head to the dealer with.

Thanks

I have not noticed that before, but I have to admit I have not been looking for it. The glass must have been caught up in a buffeting wind stream. I don't know how much they should deflect, but 1/2 inch seems like a lot to me.

Try this: when parked, open all four windows half way. They walk around the truck, grabbing each window in turn at the top, and try to move it back and forth, noting how for they move for a moderate amount of effort. If all windows move the same, you are probably OK. But if one moves significantly more than the others, you may have a loose glass mount or loose guide tracks. If that's the case, sounds like a service visit might be in your future.

I doubt the glass was bending but was allowed to move in its tracks that far......if it went up I would not be too worried about it.....

nothing to worry about IMO

Hello YGMN (again),

Yeah it wasn't bending, but moving within the tracks, just wondering if this is an acceptable abount of movement, I may try Shapeshifters idea. As you can tell this is related to my noisy wind problem as well.

I noticed that with my truck also, but i actually didnt consider abnormal(surprised ) But im sure its just the nature of the beast.

I suspect normal at some point and as you go full open the wiggling is less...........
