Stopped at my local Chevy dealer on my way home from work today to get a set of wiper blade refills for my 02 NFE. To my surprise, the parts guy said "we don't stock the refills anymore. We just sell the whole blade assy". When I asked why, he just shook his head and said it wasn't worth the aggravation. Seems there are ALOT of people who don't have the mechanical ability to properly install the refills and come back demanding a new windshield because the metal tabs scraped an arc on the glass. So, rather than pay for new assy's I don't need, I guess I'm off to Walmart to get some Anco refills.

Spend a little more money and get the Piaa silicon ones.. They work great... (y)

I Agree W/Enkei (y),

. Little High In Price But .. Last Longer then the Rubber Refills .

:B:

Find a dealer who will order inserts for you. The blades are upwards of $8.50 each, while the inserts are $3.00 and some change...........If you don't think you can changeout your W/S inserts, remember my motto:

"If it took a genius, that mechanic wouldn't be employed"

I paid $9 each for my Quest Redline wiper blades & arms. Went on in about 30 seconds. Had a nice brushed aluminum finish and work great!

I like the brushed aluminum ones with LPM, go great together, IMHO.

We're always really busy and rarely have time to go to the store for things like wiper blades, so while the Av was at the dealer getting the foglight replaced, told them to throw on a set of wiper blades.

:8: $35 later, we have AC Delco wiper replacements that are too tall and don't fit the windshield curve well at all on the passenger side, and now shakes in the wind when you drive. It was my mom's fault....she asked how much for new ones, they said $18 (still a lot for rubber blades, but oh well), but then charged just as much for the 60 sec. of labor.

They work okay, I guess, except for the one that sticks off the windshield on the one side. Who cares though, as the Av is being replaced by a new Yukon in a couple of weeks  .

Got my Piaa Sporza Carbon fiber wipers from: www.ltbmotorsports.com.

The complete blade and wiper with anti-wind lift design in carbon fiber finish. About $19 each plus $5 shipping. They were on sale and that was one of the lower prices I found at the time.

Good company to deal with. Good communication and fast, low priced shipping. 888-346-7266

Love the job the wiper does, also installed a set on my wife's Aztek and she really likes them too.

The PIAAs are a great choice, have had my set for bout, 15months, no probs. (y)

Anyone have opinions about how Teflon blades stand up (as compared to silicon) ?

I just put a set of Teflon blades on a month ago, and so far, so good. I was just hoping someone out there had experience with them.

Thanks!

The PIAA'S are great. I wouldn't use any other.... You can order them through http://www.performanceproducts.com.

I just bought a set of teflon wiper blades from Advance Auto. The were $30.55 with tax. It is the blade and the assembly. Guy even stood in the rain and installed them for me. So far I love them. I drove home about 10 miles in the rain and they were great. I was also was wondering if anybody else had these and how the hold up.
