Wipers stopped working- Module?

I was driving in a heavy snow/ice storm last night and had a heavy buildup of snow/ice under the wipers that prevented them from returning to the parked/low  position during use.  This obviously stressed something because the wipers stopped working and I started to Small a faint odor of plastic overheating/burning and the wipers stopped working altogether.  Every once in a while I saw them "twitch" but thats about it.  I'm thinking I burned out the wiper control module because the washer pump stopped working as well.  Anyone know the location of the module and have a location or part number?

Also - Anyone have trouble shooting steps for the module?

Its an 02', thanks for pointing me to that thread, I'll give it a look.
