Ok,

My wife wanted to know what the female population out there thinks in regards to the AVs and the CAFCNA club.

Wife does not have a clue, just knows it keeps me occupied while hunting season is over and off her back. Though she has been curious about all the UPS packages that have been arriving since i aquired the AV >:D
She thinks of the framed saying her dad has in his pool room. "He who dies with the most toys wins"

My wife delivers UPS and I haven't gotten anything past her yet! She calls me from work and tells me who the package is from, then I drive to town to pick it up. She is suspicious that this club is the source of some of the new things showing up on the Av  Oh well, its job security!

She wanted the Av FOR hunting season! ;D

I'm a sole female Avalanche owner. I'm semi-active in the club-meaning I read thru the site whenever I get a chance to see what's new, I purchase raffle tickets, & I keep up with the goings on of the club, however, I very rarely post to the forum, or go to club events (not much free time at the moment). Once I finish up the contract I'm working on, I hope to have more free time to join in.

My mother also owns an avalanche. She bought it for herself since dad had his Trans Am, however, dad seems to be getting pretty attached to the avalanche. (y) Mom doesn't keep up with the CAFCNA, but dad checks out the web site whenever he has free time.

Actually, my wife was more excited than I while waiting for the UPD to arrive. She was somewhat disappointed with the resulting sound increase.

She was thinking it would give the deep V8 sound. After some discussion, she is now waiting for me to make a decision on what exhaust/muffler system to install.

Go figure. She'a as much into the AV and me.

Boys, that makes it easier to modify!

Single White Male looking for Liz Hurley type. Must be into my AV. Please send photo and welding certifications to XRover@chevyavalanchefanclub.com

Please be patient for a response as the response has been tremendous

During the beginning, she hated the time spent on the site vs doing housework. >:D

Now, after we bought the AV and got a great deal so quickly, she is happy that I researched it as much as I had.

She really likes the idea of the AV get-togethers.

She's threatening to get me professional help, and well, she thinks this site is a brainwashing cult of sorts

Doesn't see the packages, as they get delivered to the office. Mods done when she's not home. LOL

Wifey just looks at the mod of the week as I'm working on it, shakes her head and says "I'm going shopping".
My reply is always "have a good time dear".

My Wife doesn't come to the foums and she also doesn't let me drive the AV too often. :( About the only time I get to drive is when we go someplace together. I guess that's ok cause I like driving my Z-28 better. ;D She is all for Moding it, Gotta love them small town girls.

Hello! I share custody of our AV with my hubby. I get it all week long and he gets to drive it on the weekends. I visit the site and boards a couple of times a day to see whats new and happening. I'm hooked! Ah..heem
...My name is Cindy and I am a CAFCNAoholic. :B:

I love my AV, I am female and sole owner of my bad a** AV. I have had it since Nov. 15, 2001 and have loved every minute of the ownership.

I am active in our local chaper of the AV club here in San Antonio. I couldn't think of driving anything else...

I love my AV....

Hey, I love my Av  and am sole owner, female. Av born July 2001 , bought Sept.2001. Saw it 2 years prior to gen'l release and vowed to own it........and I do. Visit CAFCNA as often as I can, have only posted 2 times but love to read all forum input. Have started Modifications just this last month. Wouldn't think of driving anything else. :B:

It is worth noting that MissAvalanche was so interested in finding an Avalanche club that she posted her personal contact information in the Club Connection at Chevrolet - I noticed her info there and contacted her about joining our club (that is merging) to find out that she didn't run a club but was looking for one. Now that's dedication!

Sorry Chief,

You are thinking about one of our other local ACA members ... Texascwgrl (she just celebrated one year of ownership)?;D ?She told us the story at our first cruise.

MissAvalanche is the one that kept sending me emails telling me how excited she was and couldn't wait for our first meet. ?It was a long time until our first cruise from the time I initially contacted her when I noticed her location on the board.

The Rough_Riders had an interesting story about how they found us. ?Someone told them that there was an Avalanche club because they saw my story on the news. ?They called all of the tv stations to track down our club name. ?It took them a while before they entered our club URL correctly. ?I thought that their first email to me was kinda strange when it read "We finally found you!" ?I just recently found out what that meant.

We have a great bunch down here. ?There are stories I can tell you about all of them! ?;D

Proud to be their Local Coordinator,

Welcome again Cindy, one small question, how is 5/7 considered "sharing" >:D

Well, my shared ownership doesn't extend quite to 5/7, it's more like 1/30. With good reason - I enjoy a daily 70 mile commute. :p ICK!!

I love this site! I don't get the chance to post much because I'm usually running after Chief's and my two kiddo's. Who, by the way, adore the AV. As a matter of fact, they're regular attendants of the PNW chapter events.

We recently took "Cartman" as Chief so adoringly calls him, to the Washington State ORV Park in Riverside. Our 2 yr.old had a blast bumping up and down all the narley jumps! It was awesome - PNW should really consider driving to this park. If you like roll-e-coasters, you'll love this (fish - yes, you) >:D!!

I am a chick and the AV is MINE! But, my fiance (who has a little baby S-10) has taken it over. He always wants to drive, but he also washes it. Thats great since I can barely reach the top of the box. He also got me the AV decals that go over the 'AVALANCHE' on the cladding, and installed the bug shield for me. I love it!!
We also got some great seat covers through Cabelas.
They fit perfect and the charcoal is almost the exact same color as the original interior. They cover everything. They were $200 a set (front or rear) and well worth it.

I glad to see the wives and girlfriends are enjoying the Av as much as the guys.....my wife likes to pull the borrow it for the day gig every now and again.... ;D

My fiancee' might as well be an AV owner cause she is almost as excited I am about fellow AVs on the road, TV commercials, etc.

Luckily of me, she's not tall enough to see through the back to drive the AV, especially parallel parking. She is, however, an excellent freeway driver.

Well the Towmaster would make a very nice wedding present - your move. ;D

In addition to being vertically challanged, she is probably more afraid of damaging the AV because she knows how much I love my truck. Not as much as her of course. :2:

I'm flynhigh's wife, Nancy. I'm the one who asked if women were as involved. We have just became cruise coordinators for bay area in CA. I would love to hear more from the women about thier experience with trips, etc. Maybe we could start a womens forum. Anyone have any ideas? :0:

Nancy ... we have some ladies that are active in our local chapter here in San Antonio.

They are always posting in this topic:

Marble Fall, TX Cruise

They are MissAvalanche and Cindy of the Rough_Riders. I send out this URL with my newsletter and they seem to think that it is like our own mini-Forum for our local chapter ;D

Feel free to chat with them in there. They are both on everyday.

Good luck with the Coordinating. I will send you and fly my cruise/chapter advice package.
