XM Commander?

Anyone installed an XM Commander in their Avalanche?

I have a 2002 Avalanche with an AUX port on my stereo, and I was thinking of installing a Commander and connecting it directly to the AUX port instead of using FM mod. Would install the Commander in the upper hole in my center console (the one without the cover).

Any thoughts on the Commander unit in general or this specific setup? Will I need an GM9-AUX to make this work? I don't know the configuration between the AUX port and the Commander, so I'd appreciate input on exactly what it will entail.

the radio does not have AUX inputs until you install the adapter....GM-AUX9 I think will give you RCA inputs with no slave unit...

I have this using the SONY XM....any XM radio will work but you might need a mini headphone to RCA adapter as well depending on the XM radio you select...
