Z-66 Capable Of Light Off-roading?

I own a Z-66 and was wondering if light off-roading (dirt roads, curb hitting, shoulder riding) will hurt the Avalanche a lot? Also, I'm considering adding the Skid Plate Package to the Z-66, is there anything else that I might need (other than a 4WD, thanks) to do some light off-roading? Thank you for you advice!

Stupid Off-Roader :-[

I would think you can do some light off road with your AV.

Some of the places I go back into, I can go over the easier areas in 2wd. Unless you have major things sticiking up(rocks, stumps), you don't need the skid plates.

Hell I have seen some ricers back some trails I would never take a car, so your AV so be OK.

Just don't push it and make sure you have a 4x4 along

Have fun

As noted in the other thread on this, I have taken 2 wheel drive trucks into a lot of kinda hairy places...but I've also gotten stuck a lot. :cautious:

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong here) that the Z66 has the locking rear diff... a good thing.

Dirt roads (even pretty torn up ones) should be no problem. "Curb hitting" probably isn't a good idea even in a 4X4 av... bad news for the alignment unless you're going slowly ;)
