This may seem a silly question, but here goes!

DH wasn't sure how level we should get the camper with the WDH when we hook up since it has the leveling system. Do you get my question? Not even sure I understand  I guess when he hooks the camper up, he usually cranks the hitch until it appears level. But, then the Av has a self-leveling system. Should he not worry, then, about making it appear level as the Av will take care of that???

I'm just the messenger since I'm the most computer bound here, so I hope I made the question clear...and not too dumb ;D

I tow a horse trailer with my Z66. The best advice I got was to hook up the trailer - everything but the load levelling bars. Then drive for a couple of miles to let the Z66's load-levelling kick-in. Check level and adjust with levellers as needed. That's really a one-time thing because once you have it figured you can hook up the bars with what appears to be a little sag that will level right out as you drive.

The weight dist hitch is supposed to distribute the weight of the hitch to all four wheels of your truck. If you just let the rear shocks do the job of leveling, your putting too much dead weight on the hitch,

The rear shocks will to some extent level your Av, but they won't transfer some of the hitch weight to the front axle, that is what the WDH is for. I would suggest that you level with the WDH to the best extent you can.

I found the load leveling shock thing does not seem to change anything when I use the WDH with my Z66.

I load a 3400# car with 1200# trailer
