What's the difference?

And Z66's can only be found on Avs right?

 Z66 is 2 wheel drive with load leveling suspension. The Z71 is 4 wheel drive with off road suspension package. That is the difference.

You can find the Z66 package on pickups, suburbans, and tahoes also. As well as the Z71 package.

and then you have just the plain 4 X 4. (no LL susp).

What's included with the "Z66" package on a Silverado, Tahoe, or Suburban? I've tried to look this up before, but have never found such a thing to even exist. Then I looked if they had a suspension package including the same suspension pieces but under a different name. Still, nothing close.

 Since when is there a Z66 of any of these three? We have a Z66 Av, but that's the only place I've ever seen it.

On another note, even though they no longer call the suspension option for the 1500 2wd model Z66 for 2003, it seems they're still putting the decals on. Is this still true?

I follow Chevy really close and I have never seen the Z66 option on anything but the Av. I don't know either if they have it in other states. It is hard here in colorado to sell anything that is not a 4x4 if it is a truck. I just looked on there web site and it looks like they don't even offer the Z66 in the Av anymore either. But, I didn't see the Z66 on any other SUV ot Truck.

Unless they've changed it in the last several weeks, the order sheet for the "Premium Suspension" option still lists the code for that as "Z66". As for the decals, I believe that they were still used on early '03's but have since been dropped.

When I went looking for a new vehicle in August of '02 I looked at chevy pickups, Suburbans, Tahoes and Avs at a lot of dealers in and around the Ft Worth/Dallas area.
While all of the Pickups, Suburbans, and Tahoes that had the Z71 package listed on the invoice had the appropriate decal on the vehicle, not the same with the Z66 package. It was listed as being on the vehicle on the window invoice but not all of the vehicles had the decal. You pretty much had to look at the window sticker as well as take a close look at the actual suspension. It is easy to see the difference if you know what you're looking for. As for the difference in the Z66 package from one vehicle to another I don't think there is that much difference, especially between the Suburban, Tahoe and the AV.

Just my .02
