how much did you pay for your Av

Dang, sully67 & madmatt, how long did it take to find those deals?  I've been on the hunt since mid-December and haven't come across "the one" yet.  I was hoping to get one before winter started and now, one wrecked car later, I still haven't found one.   :needhug:
Hey frito...Still looking for an Avalanche?  http://cargur.us/Y0Nv

Why yes I am.  I was a fool and missed out on a nice one in early March.  Got out bid by $600.  Penny wise and pound foolish as they say.  :E:  We went into a little hiatus after that while we work on getting my father-in-law's house ready to sell.

Thanks for the link.  The family has mandated a sunroof. I'm also trying to steer clear of the fender paint bubbles.  I had a '91 s10 Blazer (awesome truck BTW) that succumbed to body rot before any of the mechanicals bit the dust.

We actually test drove an 02 green North Face this evening with all the options we want.  Not nearly as nice as the one I foolishly let slip through my fingers.   :E:  The rear window frame was split in two different places, the DRL's weren't working (I did have my wife put it in drive, parking brake off and all other lights off) and it had a little shimmy.  The dealer is asking $12k which is $1k more than the one that got away sold for. It'll depend on if and how much we can talk the dealer down.

There's a few more that have hit the market recently that have caught our eye.  We hope to look at one or two this weekend.  They are all 3 - 4 hours away.  We do hope to get one in the next few weeks for a camping trip we plan to take.  I also would love to have one before the nationals since they are only a couple hours from my house.

Thanks again for thinking of me and for the link.

I'm a bit more that a few hours away anyway. I just picked up a 2010 in N. Carolina and drove it 12 hours back to RI.
Good luck with your search!

Wow wha a great deal.  (y)  How in the heck did you get that.

It's actually a kinda cool story. I sold my winter beater in February and decided I wanted a truck. I was between silverado, Tahoe, avalanche, or f150. Couldn't find anything I liked. I finally found a white fully loaded Tahoe with low miles. Went to go look at it and the pictures were nothing like in person. So we were just driving around the world on a Sunday looking through dealerships when we saw this bright orange avy. Had no stickers or info on it, but was super clean. I called the next day and they had just gotten it in. AND just so happens a fellow forum member from my local mustang club was the Internet sales manager. So we worked out a sweet deal and I paid Monday. Picked it up that Friday once all the repairs were done.

'02 North Face edition, looks almost like new and has 112k miles. Still had the backpacks and original floor mats too! Dealer checked everything and fixed a couple minor things....$8200 including registration. Took it back a month later with an O2 sensor issue (a mouse ate through a wire...believe it or not) and they replaced it for free. Runs fantastic and very pleased.

That's incredible clubmanager it still had the NorthFace bags in it. WOW Nice find.

Just picked up my 1owner 2004 z71 AV for 8K. Has 133 on the clock. Leather and sunroof. Owner had all original paper work and title issued 12-29-04 (paid cash for it new)

Very well maintained.

Wow, that's a steal.  I must live in the wrong part of the country, or I just have very bad karma, because I couldn't find anything close to those prices without rust or other issues.

Oh, and  :welcome: x40oz

Thanks...I will get some pics up soon. I had been looking for a truck for about 3 weeks. Had money, looking at a 07 Tundra but couldnt make the deal. Searched CL on the ride home and the guy had just posted it. I called, looked at it and bought it. I had honestly never even thought about AV before then. It is really growing on me. I like it a lot thus far.

I am having the issue with small climate control fan above my head making noise...but I have the Bose system so I just crank up the tunes.

oh and besides the factory loaded it also has cowl induction hood k&n filter system amber drl's and a hypertech

First post but been getting info from the site for about a week doing maintenance on my ne to me 03 z71 with 162k on it. Paid 10000$

Hi everyone, my first post on here, so be gentle...

I just picked up a 2002 Sage Green North Face Edition with 166k miles  for  $3,100.  Runs and drives great.  It has a small hole about the size of a golf ball in the front bumper cladding, and a tear on the side of the drivers seat that has been covered in some kind of Camo tape... lol...  Those seem to be the only real issue.  I will be painting the Cladding with Krylon next week, and seeing what I can do about the seat as well.

I found the truck on Craigslist Tuesday night at 11pm about 3 minutes after the seller posted it.  I drove 2 hrs Wed morning at 7am with cash in hand on the promise that the seller would hold it until 10am.  By the time I got there, he showed me on his phone that he had literally gotten 28 text messages.  He was asking $3,500 for it.

Right time, right place... I think I got a great deal.  =)

Any tips on the bumper cover or seat??

Too much.  I paid 30k for a "08 two years ago and it is nothing but a money pit!

$12,900 in 2011 for a base 2004 with only 57,000. Truck is awesome. Traded off a POS Ford Focus for that bad boy and I've not looked back.
