Novi, Michigan (Detroit) - Av GTG - May 24th

We had seven AV's show for the first un-official Detroit GTG. ?I am hoping that this will be the smallest turn out for future meets. ?It was nice meeting everyone.

It's official... I've completed my first mod, on the way home from the Detroit GTG this afternoon. No longer are my drl's white. It was very cool meeting everyone, and I thought the turnout of seven Av's was pretty good, since I only posted the GTG info a week ago.

I was looking forward to seeing some mods, which I really liked. The patriotic lettering and bowtie, Waag rear bumper guard and tail light guards, listening to different exhaust, billet grilles, etc. All going on my master list of cool mods!

We brought up having another GTG, possibly at BW3's again since it seems to be a central location for most people. Next GTG, I'd like to meet for lunch or dinner, then we can all cruise someplace. Let's hear some suggestions. Also, I'd like to try a Saturday afternoon or evening GTG.

Sorry I couldn't make it. By the time church is over ,we go to breakfast and grocery shopping and before you know it...it was after noon.

Keep us informed of any upcoming events. Novi as a location is fine with us.
 
Glad to hear you guys had fun, really wish I could've of made it! Hopefully I can make the next one; and yes, Novi is a good spot.

Who would be interested in driving up to the St. Ignace Car Show on Friday June 27th, and checking out the show on June 28th? It's about 280 miles from the suburbs north of Detroit. We could leave early afternoon, if we could all skip out of work a little early, get there around dinnertime, before it gets dark.

I thought i would update on this information! The meet is going to be around June 7th ~ This meet is going to be a informative. So then we can get some of the M&M Avalanches to come and show off the truck.. I will be making flyers to tag av's around town. All i need right now is Mdz66's Aprovel on it. if anyone would like to drop but we would be more then happy to see you. thought this would be a good time to do this because the weather is going to be great. well thats what the weather channel says. this is just another attemt to get some new members to the club

Last GTG went well, we had seven Av's show up.
Let's round up even more this time!.

Here's the info:
Detroit Area Avalanche GTG
Saturday, May 24th at noon.

BW3's (Buffalo Wild Wings)
44375 Twelve Mile
Novi, MI 48377

BW3's is located at Fountain Walk, south of Twelve Mile, west of Novi Road.
It can be seen from the I-96 expressway and it has a large parking lot.

Quick directions:
Westbound on I-96:
-Exit I-96 at Novi Road
-From exit ramp, continue straight through intersection,
following "FountainWalk" signs
-Stay to the right or you'll get back on the expressway!
-Follow 'service drive' for about 1/8 of a mile,
you'll see Emagine Theater & BW3's

Eastbound on I-96:
-Exit I-96 at Novi Road
-Head north, turn left at first light north of expressway
-Follow road past Circuit City/strip mall
-Turn left where road makes a 'T'
-Follow road to the around to the right
-You should be in the BW3/Fountain Walk parking lot.
-It's right next to Emagine Theater.

I plan on attending if all goes as planned from now till then. I live in Ypsilanti so it's a short drive. If I can make it, it will be my first GTG and I am looking forward to meeting other owners and seeing what ideas they have for mods!

You guys are having too many of these too soon, my new truck doesn't come in for another 1-3 weeks. I'd come in my trailblazer but I'd probably get run over :p If you know anyone looking for a trailblazer in the area let me know. I'll see ya next time

I think I can make this one too. Sounds like some rain showers will be joining us also :cautious: Not that the weather people are always correct... Maybe I'll call ahead and put in for a little sunshine.
