Nightshift said:WOW... Sorry to hear about your problems. I've been fortunate in my 14 months and (just turned) 8,000 miles of ownership.
I will mention this is my 2ND Avalanche, the first one lasting only 6 days! After 3 trips to the dealer, twice behind a wrecker and once limping in under it's own power, they replaced it.
They never did find the problem. One story my service advisor later relayed to me; they thought it was fixed, loaned it to the Houston Police Dept. for surveillance duty, and it stopped on them! I heard it was later stripped of warranty and auctioned.
The end result for me: LIFETIME OIL CHANGES ?! ! !
I have a good relationship with my dealership.

Very down to earth and good to deal with.

I had never heard about checking what day of the week your AV was built on till just recently, and it makes a lot of sense. I'm happy to report that my was a Wednesday build.dmacker said:That's pretty scary. What day of the week was your Av made on. Sounds like a Monday or Friday build. Sorry to hear about all those problems.
