I was driving down I-205 in Portland, OR yesterday and came upon a strange sight. Here, in front of me, was a Black (I think) 2500 Avalanche that was covered with grime and mud. It had a January license plate and doubtless had never, ever been washed.
Three bales of hay were in the bed. The tail gate had been removed, so I could see that the remainder of the bed's contents were a high lift jack, a dented old gas can and a piece of logging chain. The rubber mat had been replaced by a properly-aged hunk of plywood.
This rig will never see Zaino and was the total opposite of a yuppie's driveway truck.
Gad, I had to love it. A truly honest Avalanche farm truck.
