Description:
Our whitewater rafting trip and BBQ lunch has been scheduled with Wildwater Rafting on the Upper Pigeon River. Wildwater is family owned and has been leading whitewater outfitting since 1971. We negotiated a special rate with Wildwater for this event saving members over $10/person. The cost is $46/person which includes a 5 mile whitewater rafting trip with a personal guide in each raft and a BBQ lunch at their riverside pavilion following the trip. Each raft will have 4 to 6 people plus a guide. The trip departs from Wildwater's rafting center on the Pigeon River in Hartford TN. Wednesday, July 23rd at 11:15. Everyone needs to check in by 11:00 to allow time to prepare for the trip. You will need to secure your space by calling Wildwater Rafting at 1-800-451-9972. Ask for reservation #10561 Chevy Avalanche Club. You will need to pay by credit card ASAP so they can determine the proper number of spaces to hold. Spaces are limited so hold yours now!! Ask the reservations representative about cancellation policies. You will be able to wear basic water clothing like swim shorts and a tee-shirt. YOU MUST HAVE SECURE SHOES AROUND THE ANKLE. No flip flops or clogs. You will get wet head to toe. Children must be a minimum of 8 years old to participate on the Upper. Milder trips for children as young as 4 are available. I guess I'll just have to sober up for a day.? :E:
Leave the ice water at the Hotel? or Mrs.Avz66 will take care of it for you  :D

I just put you guys down under the Adventure for now. We still have sometime before you need to give any definite answer, but this does need to be booked early since like I said since it will be the tourist season down there and it would be nice to load the rafts with only are people. (y)

You bringing that blue ice water Bob?? I know only a little about that? (y)

Honey, the ice water that I usually bring with me is "Kentucky ice water".  It's clear as water and in a mason jar but it has a little more punch to it.  Last years was 115 proof, it varies from batch to batch.

Now the bad news.  My hook up for it has dried up.  :(  I'm looking for a new source but makers don't exactly advertise.

How about Georgia moonshine?? (y)

Oh
I'll add you to the list you can opt out if you want before we book.

How many in a raft?? Then you can figure out how to fill each raft with our own people.

I know the ones up here are between 6 -8 plus the guide but I can call on that since I can't find that information.

Thanks Maverick? (y)

BigC , was this the one you were refering to?
This is much better but we need to see if anyone is interested in this type of white water, honestly it's not that bad but it's not a lazy ride down the river either? >:D

I'm also not sure as to how far this is from where we will be staying, maybe someone would know by looking at the location.

Yes, last time I went 6-8 sounds about right.  The family ones might be a bigger raft since it is for only floating.

DOn't rock the boat, don't tip the boat over..

This sounds like fun!

See, I'm good with the lazy river thing :)  Tubing down a gentle river (like the Itchetucknee in Florida, although I'd prefer warmer) is a nice time-killer.

Racing along in a horribly bouncing boat while trying to avoid being smashed on rocks just doesn't sound like my game.

The Upper Guilly is in West Virginia, way too far away from Tennessee.

I was just inquiring as to the type of river it would be.  I have rafted the Upper Guilly a few times and it is VERY intense!!!  And a lot of Fun!!
