Sorry, but with no pics - means it did not happen!

Congrats!

Yes. I have a 2010 LTZ…I would love to own a 2013 Black Diamond edition. I agree with all the comments on a "2500" - more towing capacity would make this vehicle a 3 in 1 (SUV,Truck,Hauler). Maybe if they go "2500" they could option ups to a 3500…why not?

If I weren't a DIY self thought mechanic I'd probably have gotten rid of my 2007 LT.
But I saved thousands of dollars doing my own repairs & this website helped with almost everything I've tackled. Found out the previous owner had almost all the problems this model could throw out.
I've replaced throttle body, MAF sensor, gas pedal, break switch, battery, fuel pump, injectors, cam shaft position sensor, flywheel position sensor, key position switch, starter, canister perge valve, oil pressure sensor & screen and fuel pressure regulator/valve on drivers side fuel rail.
I added k&N air filter, have extra battery in forward battery tray, upgrade driver side valve cover, X2 oil catch cans both sides pcv lines, new dust boots steering shaft, and oil seals multiple times.
I botched rear main seal first attempt tried to save time not removing oil pan.
Big mistake seal kept from getting correct alignment & leaked worse 🙄. Second time pulling axles, transfer case, transmission made sure to also pull forward axle & all the rest just to get oil pan off.
Still my oil pan dosnt want to seal up, all other areas finally good, one final try I'm hoping can get complete oil seal near future.
My 4inch body lyft God sent allowing better Room & access working on it especially oil pressure sensor & transmission bolts.
Have brush guard still waiting to weld better mount for front frame holes & sand blasting then painting to match truck blue.
New tires pressure sensors & front a arms lower ball joints, axles & few other part replacements ready for installation just gotta get motivated to do the job next stretch can go without working vheicle.
Grounds very important to clean, wire brush & be sure meatal on meatal connections. Sure mine had me chasing ghost problems aswell. Saved most parts as many probably still fine.

Forgot to add dealership sold it with sheared manifold bolts aswell, I decided buy brackets both sides instead of trying to drill out from engine block. Still this tows my camper easily & stores all my tools & emergency gear. I do wish I waited & got a black diamond edition. The black plastic constantly needs conditioner to look good, I like the painted versions on trim.

Yes👍
My 02 Z71 kissed a tree 😞 RIP
Current 05 Z71 still looks new but having stupid sensors issues etc (105,390) Done with it....
Buying a 13 LTZ on Monday. My 3rd AV

I'm a little on the fence about it. I thought the Avalanches were ugly when they came out, but somehow they grew on me over the years. When I started looking for a 3/4 ton or 1 ton I found out about the Avalanche 2500 with the beast 8.1L. Thought it had the Allison transmission like the pickups, but I guess the 4L80 was good too. So finding one took a while, even flew down to Phoenix for one that turned out rougher than expected. Found a low mileage unit in South Dakota that was much closer. Unfortunately bought that one, complete basket case. I would have been better off with the one from Phoenix, least that one wasn't rusty. Anyhow, I'll give this one time for a definitive answer to this question. So far that I've been driving it, its not bad. Pulled my camper like nothing.

I bought a 12 avalanche with 200,000 miles on it I love this truck . It rides like a big sedan plenty of leg room enough power for me. Silver in color no large issues 😂. My dog has the whole back seat to her self. Great machine.

GM HAS resurrected our Avalanche. It's a called a Silverado EV as the marketing team at GM is scared to call it an Avalanche because they want to continue to complete with the F-150 Lightning. They didn't even TRY to make it look like a Silverado. All this means is that all of us have been RIGHT for 20 years.

I had a 2004 with almost 300K miles on it. I loved it until it was totaled by an idiot running a stop sign. Only had normal wear problems with it is all, changed oil regularly and well maintained. I turned around and bought a 2007 and I love it as well. They are very versatile with a good ride. Only problem I.m having is filling the tank. The gas nozzle keeps kicking off and it takes for ever to puts gas in it. I have replaced the Evap cannister and the Evap vent value and it still slams air back thru the fill hose. Anyone got any ideas?

After changing the three common EVAP parts, the most common step missed is using compressed air to blow out the loose charcoal bits out of the plastic EVAP lines.

I had a black 2011 LT for 4 years and sold it because I thought it was to outdated , bought 2021 GMC Sierra kept it for 14months. The whole time I had GMC I wished I had my Avalanche back. I finally found a clean 2012 LTZ Avalanche and snatched it up. Black of course. Fully loaded and I will never get rid of it, I will just fix and upgrade until we're both in the dirt.

Bought my first Avy i in 04 for 1 dollar down and cash at delivery. Was home on leave from 2nd tour in Iraq and had her till 2013 when a druggy neighbor put mercuric acid in the gas tanks of all cars around his home and caused the engine to blow in my 2500. went without till a few months ago when I got my 07. While she is uncladded :: She's still beautiful and I'm working to deal with a few of the afm issues. I will keep her till I find another that I like better and maybe do a trade-up. I'm deff not a fan of the EV version though. Looks like an escape pod for a b rated scifi show.

I love my Avalanche so yes I would. It has been my dream truck since before I enlisted back in 05 and when I finally got my hands on one I was so sad I was stuck on an island that did not give her the room to play! I have since gotten my second Avalanche and am very happy I love back on the mainland so I can give her so much road to play on!

Absolutely YES

I didn’t realize how versatile the avalanche was, but after owning a 09 for a short time now I’m really liking it.
Decent power and comfort, far more useful bed with mid gate.
I am still looking for another, maybe newer model.

I just bought Avy# 5 today. #1 was bought new in 2002. Traded #2 for a new 2005. #3 was a 2007, but was used. #4 was bought cheap from a car dealer friend in 2012 (2003 model) with 200k miles on it. Drove for a few years, gave to my son who drove it to 350k miles and sold to a friend who got it close to 500k before he totaled it. Other than typical things (alternator, brakes, plugs etc) the only major issue with it was the rear end going out at about 320k miles. My 2011 F-150 broke down in front of a Chevy dealer on Saturday. Was talking to a salesman there and they had this 2013 in great shape with 135k miles on it so I traded. I missed having one when I didn’t because the versatility. The only thing I didn’t like about all of the others I had was the damn cladding/sail panel plastics. The 2013 is painted and loving it so far. Was one owner, all service records and clean carfax. The f150 and now the Avy is my extra vehicle for hauling etc. I did have a new wireless CarPlay Pioneer installed in it today to modernize it a b bit.
