I’ve been had my 03 1500 since 2007. Since then I’ve had about 7 other cars along with my avalanche. Currently we have an 03 avalanche, 2017 Colorado and 2020 Tacoma 4x4 offroad. I purchased the Tacoma as a daily driver and been really disappointed with it. I guess after having the avalanche for so long it just doesn’t even come close. I actually prefer to drive the avalanche over the Tacoma and still do about 5x a week. Chevy really got it right with this thing.

I just got my 2010 Avy about 8 months ago, I've been wanting one ever since they came out, I wasn't really fond of the body style of the first generation, but I love the gen 2, I will have it until the day I die or until someone totals it. I have done quite a few mods to it and I love it! I would definitely buy a new one if it was ever reproduced, but I'll be keeping this one. 💯💯💯

I always wanted one ever since they were released but I was just a weee little lad then. Now that I could finally afford one I'm so glad that I bought one. It's everything I expected and more! I knew these trucks were very versatile but it still amazes me what all I can haul and load.
All my buddies took one look and say aww man you bought one of those. Then I show them all the features and the midgate and ask them if their crew cab 1500 can do that... Some now are on the hunt for one hahaha

Most useable SUV/TRUCK ever produced sad they didn't keep them going with the new silverado body style.

After driving all those wonderful Camaros, Firebirds, Chevelles, Cutlasses, Grand Prix's in the 70's, 80's & 90's, I felt that GM had lost their way and switched over to Fords for awhile. I had a Sport Trac that got hit and wanted to find some other vehicle that came with the covered pickup box and the AV fit the bill. I would buy another in a New York minute...

Replaced my 03 Z-66 with a 13 Z-71 earlier this year and will drive this one till the wheels fall off, replace them and keep on trucking! BTW- 03 is still in the family. Grandson has it! 😁

Think next year I can get ANTIQUE VEHICLE plates for my truck. as she will be 20 years old to me in September 2021!.

20 years never thought it when I bought it but here we are today....
Time for her monthly drive around town and to Home Depot...

Will be watching battery as she is long in the tooth and drops pretty low on restart (I use a trickle charger which probably gave me another year of life out of battery) Heck I think this is the 3rd battery I purchased for truck so total of 4 including stock one... NOt bad....

Big Bummer they do not make them anymore but... has saved me money by just keeping the one I have running in lieu of buying a new one.

I had my first Av for seven years. Then the wife got an H3T for a few years. When she moved on from that, I decided another Avalanche was the perfect fit for me. Bad engine an all.

I’m on my second Avalanche. A 2005 2500 3/4 ton variant.
except for the normal wear and tear on a 150,000 mile vehicle, I’m absolutely satisfied with this one. Trouble free for me.
Had my 2004 Z71 1/2 ton for 10 years before I lost it on black ice. I hope to keep this one for just as long if not longer.

I would want a light weight aluminum bed cover other than the heavy warping plastic. Also handy would be a split fold of the main cab to bed panel. Higher towing and payload capacity would be a must for me.

Never had the bed covers warp. Not on my 2003, that I had until 2018. And my 2013, that I owned since 2018. But I have a spare set of bed covers, just in case! But likely never need.

Just got mine...So I'll get back to you later after I feel confident that it will be reliable. It's just me, the truck feels fine but it's got 95,600 miles on it so I've got my guard up:)

That's pretty low miles, I'm at 234328k miles and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country. You should have nothing to worry about.
