Wyotonka build thread

LOL
Mine are just a bright white spot.
No transformers logo any more so I guess I'll just leave them in an consider them as plain puddle lights

well... if you read the what are you doing today thread you will see how it treated me saturday night  other than that really not much more to speak of. Its been snowing since about 8 today but has been meltings when it hits the ground its barely starting to actually stick

well.. ordered a new can of r&r, a new passenger side mirror, a power folding mirror module (folds in mirrors when key is out found courtesy of here  >:D ) put in my new weathertech floor mats... right now what it really needs is a bath and a passenger side wheel bearing which is on the todo list tomorrow  (y) after that its going to be an upgrade to spark plugs, wires, and cleaning the MAF

been dieing to do the wigwag mod but its directions seem to be a little elusive right now... ill keep looking though

hey buddy i just saw this thats awsome so im shure you get being tight on money being a kid paying for all your own stuff what are some cheap fun mods i could do to my avy i was thinking long and hard about plasti diping my rims black because myn is charcol and i have a led bar but is off right now gona hard wire it in and screw it to the back bumper but i was thinking about painting some interior parts brighter its jsut all so dark I like colors and digging the yellow dude :cool:keep it up thanks alot

it does get tough.. with truck and house payments but if you dont leave room for fun then you arent living right  (y) i have always lived on the motto that you work to live, you dont live to work and if you have any questions hit me up... when i owned that jeep liberty (which probably saw more mud and trails than a lot of wranglers do) i did nothing on my own because i was scared to mess something up but when you do things on your own it saves the wallet a lot of stress  (y)

cool bro got it and tried to upload a pic of myn said it was too big so i shrunk it then it said i already did it so idk what you seeing haha

easiest i have found on the whole pic thing is to have a photobucket acct. and use the img link and paste it here  (y)

ok well that's annoying  :E: ok ill have to look into that thanks bro hey have you seen the tents that go in the back of the avy's that the midgate folds down and you sleep in there and if worse comes to worse you can use the heater or ac and myn have monitors in the head rest so I can use those too

got a cabellas near you? if so

I just relized how long that link was oops haha well anyway that would be sick when you do it make shure you post pics!!
heres another option and price point isn't too bad either for both of them there the same tent 2 different places

cool bro and all yours has on it is a leveling kit no lift?

how much in the front did you go because I considered doing 3'' torsion keys in the front and buying some 2'' spacers in the rear but if I just bought leveling kit that could work too :)

hey next idea for the build thread?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/AR-3-Front-2-Rear-Leveling-Full-Lift-Kit-2001-2006-Chevy-Avalanche-4x4-4WD-/281057649080?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item41705761b8&vxp=mtr
but when you buy it buy 2 send one to me  been dieing to use that haha

I'll only put a lift on it after I move... It hails a lot here and the truck needs to fit in the garage
I don't remember what size kit was put on it I had plains tire put it on there back before I started doing my own work

how much did you level the front? like how much did you lift it to level because im going to get the adjustable 3'' front torsion keys and debating between a 2'' spacer or 2.5'' spacers for the rear and could do all that for under a $100 :)

thanks reidbarton96   dakotawilk im not sure what size level kit is on it but i can get you a measurement from ground to front wheelwell after work if that will work other than that i would have to dig up the paperwork and i dont even know where to start there

its all good bro I did some other reaserch I think it should be a inch difference hey here is a quick vid of my avy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZEx0c3A45E
also I just drove it up a big dirt hill in my yard I will have to get a photo bucket so that I can post it

well... due to the parasitic drain im going through my mods are piling up these are all mods on the to do that i have parts for that arent going in till i figure this out  :E:

1. amber leds for front of mirrors
2. auto fold in mirrors
3. wig wag drls
4. passenger mirror replacement
5. yellow led footwell lights
6. build new sub boxes for my 2 10's
7. R&R all plastics again  (incoming R&R)
8. Build and mount toggle switch panel

figures the mod bug and a parasitic drain would hit at the same time   :needhug:

LOL
I have been there too.
Don't know if we discussed it earlier but I had the parasitic drain and the first thing that came to mind was the all the electronics I had added over the years, especially the CPU in the truck.
Turned out after doing the parasitic drain test and pulling fuses, my drain was coming from the cigarette lighter and the accessory fuses.

Strangely enough none of my aftermarket accessories were ever connected to those circuits.
I've since pulled the fuses and am waiting for summertime to come around to work on it.
In the mean time, I have been using the truck as a secondary vehicle (that is until my fiancee's POS honda died last week) and I've had it parked for a full week at a time without any battery drain.
Thankfully I have enough USB ports on my powered USB hub to power all my devices so I never use the cigarette plug or the accessories plugs for anything.

auto or electric fold in mirrors? my list is
levalingkit/2''spacers
hardwire in my led bar
get a bull bar
re attach my front cladded fender (need clips)
paint all the cladding once it warms up
fog lights for the roof or bull bar

that's the majority of it for now all stuff that wont cost a ton all together every thing on that list is about $450 not bad but still a chunk of change :/
all for the AVY though  :B:
