I understand but maybe next year you can come up to Michigan I have a Plan  (y)

Come on Iowa, we got just a little over a month before the WWGT, lets show a little excitement!

Any more information on the campground, I would consider changing if they have A/C'd cabins, lol.

Any other ideas for things to do, I know the "Jersey Boys" are in town on Friday night, wooohooo(cough cough choke choke)

Any more  mods to be done in the campground or the Days Inn parking lot, simple stuff you just aint had time to do, you know.

I would certainly hate to drive 500 miles with Lu and Molly in tow to an empty parking lot, made your reservations yet?

We are makking our reservations tomorrow, good idea about poisting when you make them. At least we will know how many rooms would be left.....

I sure wish someone would attend that has done the Fusion Paint on the cladding, I could use a new paint job!
Is there a Earl Scheib in the area?

The wife baby and I are coming and I also have done Fusion before!

I am doing the all 4 on high mod and wondering what other little mods I can get done.... IDEAS PLEASE! Something yall have done that isnot in my mods list I have not really done anything in regards to small mods!

Does anyone have any new mods to show off at the GTG? I just did a custom GPS & back up monitor mount and am planing at least one more new mod before this GTG.

I reserved our room for July 22, 23 & 24th. Arriving on Thursday so that I won't have that long drive on Friday!

Reserved your room yet?

Question: How many spaces are included in the $252 per night?

It looks they have group areas from 4-14 spots, 24-84 people. The smaller one is $64/night but im not sure on availability. I'll have to look again and call to see if we can just reserve a smaller non-group area for less campers maybe. Not sure they allow that though, Army Core of Engineers ya know.As i recall the turn around large type site was not well shaded. The one i suggest is linked below, if anyone wants to reserve now you can do it on-line then maybe post here and we can just reserve next to or near?  The other group containing site is linked at the very bottom. They have a map feature that you can use to pick your site. My wife usually does the reservations so i will have to check with her and see which ones we like the best. I haven't had a ton of time to look into this week.

I'm thinking about the white face or other guage clusters if anyone coming has done that and is willing to help that would be great. I did one on my previous burb but had some troubles with the needles going back on.

If you have the parts and patience, we can do that, one question though, do you have a GPS, answer and I'll explain why I asked, lol.

I don't know if we could get away with painting out in the parking lot, but hey if there is a open area and the weather is good I know who to ask!  (y)

Search for "the best $10 mod" and put the search in the quotes. You may want to do this, it gives the Avalanche a much better feel.....now don't expect it to handle like your Vette, but I did notice an improvment! If I find some exter money I would love to upgrade all of the suspension bushing to the urethene and install better sway bars and a steering stabilizer, I bet it would really handle then!

Been ridiculously busy but did have a chance to call the campground and found out the only group lot for that weekend is the big one i mentioned previously. Also found out they won't do any "blocks" of sites without mayment up front. My suggestion is for us just to schedule at cherry glenn (the first link on my previous post) and then let everyone know here and we can try to get close to each other.

i plan to reserve a site tonight after work and will post back here as to location

Ain't no way I can pull my camper 7.5 hours with the gas goin up like it is.  The Days Inn has A/C and a breakfast bar, lol.  All for 54 bucks, wooohoooo!  As much as we like to camp its just unfeasable for this long of a trip.

That is what I was going to talk to you about........I have found that if you ask for opinions or give to many choices it never gets done. You live in the area and know what will work so if you go ahead and reserve your camp spot and tell everyone where it is and to get their reservations in it most likely will work best.

Thanks for doing this, if you want to you can start another thread about camping. Post the informating about the camp area that you decided on and let them knw what area of the campground you feel would work the best etc. and go from there!

Butch (You can still call if you wish)

I am reserving my room tomorrow morning! The wife, baby and I are all coming! This is my wedding anniversary weekend and I am going to have to make it up to her double time for this so people better show up

I cant wait I have 2 mods to get done for sure and have talked to 2 people who can assist with them so I am excited!  :D

Yall get your rooms/sites and let make this something to remember and make the other regions jealous!

Ok for campers....I just booked site 63 at cherry glenn for fri/sat nights, there are 3 other spots in the immediate vicintiy and a few others on near by loops. see the map below i will try to link, i hope it will actually show the available sites, i think they were 59, 61, 64 but check it to see and if you have questions let me know.

http://www.recreation.gov/camping/Cherry_Glen_Campground_Ia/r/campgroundMap.do?camparea=82267768&selectedSiteRb=107976&contractCode=NRSO&parkId=73120

looks like the link works....you'll see on the map that 59 and 61 back up to the playground which is nice for those hauling the kiddos along, we dont have the older boys that weekend so we went across the street
Also down the road is the bathroom with showers which is nice and a very short walk, all these spots should be pretty well shaded btw. As far as fire wood goes i wouldnt haul any in they have a guy selling it for pretty decent price at the turn off for the camp site and it is available at the site as well, they frown on "imported" wood given the ash beetle problems.
Any other ?'s let me know.
