#2 Gas Door no more dimple.

That would imply a remote release.  Less chance of gas theft, tougher to mod :)

Font needs to revert to the original.  The Avalanche is unique, and shouldn't be blended TOO deeply in to the GMT900 lineup.

No door handle buckets...just handles...
less chrome mods hehehe

midgate + power window =  :deadhorse:

Obviously it won't work...

Hold on there a minute....

...The Chevy Avalanche pioneered the midgate design, but the midgate in the {H2} SUT actually owes more to the same design in the GMC Envoy XUV, because of its power-down midgate glass....

It IS possible to have a working power down midgate glass!  The H2 SUT even has global express down!

Yes, Kevin, you could have a power midgate window, HOWEVER, you lose the ability to leave the window in place while the midgate is down.  Due to the unique nature of the Avalanche, a power midgate window defeats the purpose :)

Not unique anymore. ?:beating:

They couldn't even keep the distinctive '02 Avalanche style font. ?

A real obvious distancing overall from the original. ?(n)

New entry/exit handle in the roof over the rear seats?

Is that a DVD screen up there, too?

I like the interior.  I don't like the exterior - from the lack of cladding to the narrow wheel wells.  If you lose the cladding, you could have at least kept longer wheel wells.  How are you going to stuff larger tires in there now (without getting out the cutter)?

I will definately miss the rear bumper step.  We use them a lot getting into and out of the truck bed.

That is the one thing I wish the WBH had currently.  It's a bit tall to step up to the top of the bumper now, with the intermediate step those few inches lower, it would be MUCH more convenient.  Oh well.

to clarify, window in / covers on / midgate down is one of my favorite AV features.  A power window would nix this.

Looks like the seatbelts are in the pillar and not in the seat back

Just another in a long list of things that sucks about the 07.

I hear the bed storage panel bag was dropped as standard too.

This thing screams soccer mom or rental truck.

I wonder if the midgate has the same dimensions? I would like to keep my JL gate if possible. Of course, with no 2500, or cladding, I may need to stick with an'06. My dealer has 3 , 2500's listed there now!

to be fair, almost no one uses the fussy bed banel bag

Who uses the bag anyway?  It's listed that there is a new strap system to contain the panels.  THAT I'd use!

What's so terrible about the belts being out of the seat?  For one, this gives much more flexibility in seat swaps :)

The bed is looking suspsiciously unchanged, even the sail panels, tailgate bezel, etc. are looking remarkably similar.

does that me that GM was lazy, or that they didn't need any improvement in the bed area?

Do you actually use yours? I tried once, what a pain in the a**!! I'd guess I am not alone, given the number of bags that go up for sale here on the board.

I've never used it, but what are you supposed to do with the panels to keep them from getting all banged up if you are out somewhere and need to use the bed?  Someone said they have a strap now which I guess is fine.. As long as they have some way to secure the panels.
