Michigan/NW Ohio Av Owners Speak Up!

Hello Everyone,
For those of you that weren't able to attend the GTG today in Novi, we had seven Av's attend, which was a nice turnout since I had only posted the GTG info a week ago. The mods I saw were very cool and we got to know eachother a little more over lunch. I hope more of you can attend the next GTG, and when we pick a date, we'll post it under the Region III heading also.

For more about today's GTG, check out:

I went last year...not an AV insite. I can't go this year, but it should would be great to have a contingent represent the club.

Hi, I'm a newbie from the Detroit area. I just got my Pewter '03 WBH on April 30. Looking forward to meeting other AV owners in the area this summer. We spend a lot of time in West Michigan too...in the Ludington area...so I'd like to meet folks up that way too.

I must see at least 10 new Av's everyday, in addition to the usual Av's I see on a daily basis. I wouldn't be surprised if the number of Av's in the Detroit suburbs was in the thousands.

I've tagged over 30 Av's, yet nobody has ever replied to my 'Tagged in Michigan' posting. I haven't given up tagging, but I don't do it now as much as I have in the past.

How can we round up the other Michigan Av owners?

There are over a dozen Avs in the lot where I work. I was kinda waiting until the club politics got straightened out before I started tagging again. :)

Hello other AV Owners, I guess I have been tagged. Someone left a flyer on my vehicle the other day. I have a 2003 Yellow Z71. Owned it for a full 3 weeks now. I live in Waterford, and work in Troy, MI.

Hey are there any meetings set around the Woodward Dream Cruise this year? I thought this may be a good time for a group of Avalanches to get together. I know this is last minute but what the heck. Maybe something like Friday night when it wouldn't be as busy. Were busy on Saturday and Sunday.

What he said, even though he is probably drinking heavily. Yeah, I'm jealous. >:D

FINALLY!!

Gijo/Yellow Snow... It was I who left the CAFCNA brochure on your great looking yellow Av. After tagging 40+ Avs in 5 months, you're the first person that has shown up because I tagged them! Those Yellow '03 Avs have quickly become one of my favorites.

Welcome to the site Gijo, check back for an upcoming Detroit area Avalanche Get Together to take place in September.

I considered setting something up for the Woodward cruise, but so many places want you to pay to reserve spots to park, it would have been a monumental undertaking. Plus, there aren't any Chevy dealers on Woodward that would let us park there.

I am new to the Avalanche scene, I won't even have mine until the 25th of the month.

However, I am interested in getting the "Area" coordinated, maybe a small website of our own?

I would have no problem hosting a small site, with perhaps a buletin board for users in our "area".

I am using "area" , because I am not sure what is practical. I seriously doubt that the Dakota's are really gonna participate in a Michigan group....Ohio, Illinois, Indiana....maybe.

Anybody interested?, Let me know....

Brian
