Michigan/NW Ohio Av Owners Speak Up!

Just thought I'd check in and confirm that I finally have my 03 SGM Northface Edition. I'm from Saint Clair Shores. Amber DRLs, billet bowtie, billet grill, black powder coat side steps with billet inserts, Line-Xed rear bumper gaurd and tail light gaurds for mods. Next up the audio system >:D Hope to see you all at the next GTG (whenever that maybe)
 
I just want to remind everyone about the Central Indiana Modding GTG on Sep. 20th. I have over 40 sponsers and have items to give away such as stainless steel nerf bars, diamond tread rear bumper plates, hood protectors and our grand prize of a Snakeeyes rear view camera/monitor system! All items will be installed here!

I am using "area" , because I am not sure what is practical. I seriously doubt that the Dakota's are really gonna participate in a Michigan group....Ohio, Illinois, Indiana....maybe.

Hello NW Ohio AVers! I was wonder if there is an active group in the NW Ohio area?

I live in California, but am from Ohio and get back there a couple of times each year. I'm from the exact center of NW Ohio area.... a small town called Kenton.
 
New Av owner here in Davison! Just got my '04 Z-66 WBH a few weeks ago, and I love it! Completed my first round of Mod's today, so you'll see my amber DRL's soon. I'm also game for GTGs with other Av owners, so let me know when the next one happens.

Welcome to the Club. I visit the Flint area quite often, so we may run into each other some time. I live in Byron, about 10 miles west of Fenton.

I also run the Michigan Chapter of the club, let me know if yo need anything.

Also we are having a get together later this month, at BW3's in Novi. Let me know if you want to go, maybe we can meet in the Fenton area and cruise there together. There are a coulple members in that area, and would be nice to make the trip together.

Oh, an tagging is when you leave a club brochure on the widow, or give it to another Avalanche driver that is unaware of the Club, it helps spread the word and is kinda a game around here....

Thanks for the reply, Brian. I figured that's what "tagging" is.

Count me in for the GTG in Novi on the 28th, unless something unexpected comes up. Sometimes my wife and/or daughters have a way of changing my plans at the last minute. I'm sure all the "Married with Children" folks here know exactly what I'm talking about.

Do guys take their wives to these GTGs, or would they be completely bored? My wife Tami really likes the AV, and is into most "guy stuff" like sports, etc; but thinks my "cool Av mods" (Mag-lite, amber DRLs, custom decals, etc) are dumb.

To quote her, "That's a pretty cool place for the flashlight, but why is yellow lights so cool? Nobody else has them (EXACTLY). What was wrong with the Z66 stickers that was on there? I didn't mind the airbag warning stickers on the visors. Why is there stickers on the mirror flaps now? That's dumb, you hardly ever see them. How much did you spend on those? You want to spend how much on a new radio and monitors in the headrests!?! What's wrong with the portable DVD player the kids watch now? You don't even play with the xbox in the house, why would you put it in the Av? A nav system? You know your way around, plus you have plenty of paper maps!"

On second thought.....I'm leaving her at home!
 
Just found CAFC this week. I guessed what tagging is. I could tag the AVs in the parking lot at work and start a Flint chapter :0: Us Av owners at Flint Assemby catch a little heat about our Mexican Chevys :B:
 
Welcome to the club. I am the coordinator for mid/s.e. Michigan. There were several small clubs, but turnout was really low, I decided to merge them together. We have not had any big turnouts yet, but I am hoping to change that.

I live in Byron, about 10 miles west of Fenton, and visit Flint regularly as I have family there, and it is a convenient place to shop.

It would be great if you could pass out club brochures, I try to pass them out when I can.

Hopefully you can come to the GTG at BW3's in Novi later this month, and perhaps we could plan a gtg for something up your way in the near future?

I graduated Holly High 1978, I know Fenton area pretty well, I do know there are alot of Avs in Flint and I'm glad. summer 2002 stares got tiresome, now watch me start mods this year and deja vu :B:

I'm in Royal Oak.
Been a member here since about the start. I've just been absent the past year - too busy working in Mexico.
My Av is up for sale now in the "For Sale" forum if any of you know anyone up here looking for one that's already modded up.

Westland here. Just getting back into the board.
Went to the Cabelle's GTG this weekend and had a
riteous good time there. ;D

Hope to see more S.E. Mich avy owners at GTG's soon.
