New Members Say Hello & Post Here First

We do have a for sale by owner section.... just no one wants to sell their avy.

There are enough used online car sites that one has to have an avy for sale... but remember been out of production for over 12 years now....

Hi new member in Seattle. Looking at an avalanche for a camping/trip and house project car that won't be a daily. I like the idea of a big backseat for family trips and still being able to pick up full size sheet goods.
How well sealed is the bed from rain with the cover on?
Anyone carry mountain bikes with a tailgate pad?

Hi All! new member from Florida. a Buddy has an 2004 avalanche and Im helping him working on some electrical issues hes having.

Something embarrassing about being a newbie, but I'll say "Hello" here, and ask my question. If I'm doing something wrong here, let me know.

My wife and I have owned two Avalanches. A 2004, we owned and loved until 2013, when we discovered it was the last year being made. Even though we only had 32,000 miles on it and it was going to be a wonderful driver for years to come, we sold it to my brother in law who needed it for below market. He owned it until last fall, and had put over 127,000 more miles on it and NEVER gave him problems. He loved it until he went absolutely insane and bought a TESLA truck (which has been nothing but problems and recalls. That's another story.

In April of 2013, we decided we better upgrade and that it might be the last 2nd vehicle we ever have. We bought it, though it was out of our price range. WE HAVE LOVED IT. We own an absolutely beautiful 2013 Chevy Avalanche Black Diamond, with the White Tri Coat paint. It is truly mint. It has the carpeted rear bed on the floor and the sides. It has the new Avalanche Tent, which I bought 3 years ago thinking I'd use it. My health has changed so it has just sat in the back, unused. I also got rid of the Tonneau covers only because I was just unable to take them off, now because of end-stage neuropathy. I replaced them with the TruXedo LoPro SoftPro Rollup Tonneau Cover. Anyway, I've looked all over the country on the usual cars for sale sites trying to price ours. We only have 58,000 miles on it, and it has always been serviced on time. We're kind of OCD about that. Anyway, we need to try and sell it on our own as I'm not happy with dealer trade-in values at the moment. Where can I go to sell this on my own to somebody that would really appreciate and love it as we have?

I just can't really get into it anymore as I'm 72 and going downhill pretty fast. Please point me in the right direction.

Oh, just forgot. I just put brand new tires on it. Firestone Destination LEs. If it matters.

Another place to sell nice vehicles is https://bringatrailer.com/. It's an auction site that gets a lot of attention. I have seen nice Avalanche and EXT trucks for sale there. I used them once and was very pleased with the way the auction and final bid ended up. You could search past Avalanche sales to see what they sold for. They are very helpful getting you through the process and the pictures you need to take.
Good luck! It sounds like a very nice Avalanche.

need more posts to sell on here.

Hey, I’m new here. My name is Ted. I’m from Sacramento California 35 years old I’ve been working on cars since I was like five I got an auto till 906 BT scanner currently have a 2004 avalanche and it’s got the off-road package or whatever now I blew a rod on my on my motor. I did a motor swap. I’m having some serious trouble trying to get this thing going. I’ve done some motor swaps my whole life, but somebody had given me a Tahoe 103 Tahoe and I pulled the motor transmission and transfer case all is one, turned it around, shoved it into my avalanche, and then I realized after I hooked everything up when I got to the fuel lines that it was two different systems so I yanked the fuel lines and the gas tank in the pump and everything out of the Tahoe and I installed my avalanche, but it won’t fire. I’m dire need of help struggling to figure this one out if anybody’s got any info, they could shoot me man that’s why I’m here. I gotta get this thing running and out of my driveway on the road thank you.

New owner of a very clean 2004, 107K miles, bought in TX. I'm the 4th owner. Silver/Champagn color. no body cladding, sunroof dark gray leather seats, Bose w/6CD changer.

Just bought some seat covers from FH Group from Amazon, but they're going back, terrible fit in back, fronts not terrible but no accommodation for armrest.

Howdy, everyone. I recently purchased a 2004 Chevy Avalanche, and I would like to make a few small repairs and upgrades, so your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, new member, OG original owner of 2002 Z-66. I've been driving my truck for 24 years just post 9/11, and now contemplating getting a new vehicle soon. She is starting to slow down a bit at 285,000 miles. I feel like I'm abandoning my child!
As I drive a lot, breaking down is a big concern. I've already had the alternator and fuel pump die on the freeway over the years. I've probably sunk enough money into her to buy a new car twice over. If I was mechanically inclined, this wouldn't be an issue. Wondering what the top milage is on other Avalanches? Looking forward to browsing other threads. Glad there is so much love for this retired model!
